Jaguar XJR-15

This was one of the display cars at the Christie's International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1992.
It's a 1991 6 litre V12 Jaguar XJR-15, 53 of which were produced between 1990 and 1992. It was conceived by Tom Walkinshaw as a road-going version of the XJR-9 that won the 1988 Le Mans 24 Hour race and built specifically to take part in the three-race Jaguar Sport Intercontinental Challenge series that took place as support races for the Grands Prix at Monaco, Silverstone and Spa-Francorchamps in 1991. This particular car was driven by Derek Warwick who won the first race at Monaco, failed to finish at Silverstone and finished 14th and last at Spa-Francorchamps. The series was won by the German Armin Hahne with two fifth places then a win in the final race.
